CLINTON — Arthur Eugene “Gene” Pierce, 85, of 95 Denton Ave., passed absent on Friday evening, Aug. 13, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.
A memorial assistance will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 17, at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Ameen officiating. Born on Sept. 30, 1935 in Duplin County, Gene was the son of the late Horace Pierce and Mamie Robinson Pierce and a veteran of the North Carolina Nationwide Guard. He was a dedicated member of Immanuel Baptist Church and an energetic member of the Clinton Lions Club, when his health and fitness permitted.
Gene managed Dossenbach Furniture Corporation for 20-five a long time. He then ventured on his own, along with his wife, with M & G Signs and Awning Corporation. In addition to his moms and dads, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Pierce sister, Clara Hagan foster mom and dad: Mr. and Mrs. Pete Casteen and a foster brother, Durwood Casteen.
